Privacy notice
Plugtell is a small Canadian company making a Bluetooth car scanner and an app. Before launch this site does one thing: it lets you leave your email so we can tell you when Plugtell ships. This notice says what happens to that email.
What we collect
When you join the list we store:
- your email address;
- the date and time you joined;
- the country Cloudflare reports for your connection, and the link or campaign tag you arrived from, so we know which announcements worked;
- your IP address and browser identifier, kept as the record that you asked to hear from us (Canada’s anti-spam law asks for this) and to block automated sign-ups;
- the exact consent wording you saw.
That is all. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from advertising or social networks.
What we use it for
To email you when Plugtell launches, with a few updates before then. Every email says who it is from and carries an unsubscribe link. We never sell, rent or share the list, and we do not use it for anything else.
Where it lives
The list is stored in a database at Cloudflare, which also hosts this site and handles your request when you open it. When we send an email we may use an email delivery service, which receives your address only to deliver that email.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe we keep only the record that you did, so we never email you again by mistake.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe with the link in any email from us.
- Write to hello@plugtell.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. We answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters to you, the next email we send will say so.
